APRIL – make this a month of hope

Hope you and your loved ones are keeping well.  The impact these restrictions have on our freedom is quite phenomenal.  Whatever our situation is we all need to remind ourselves to be thankful for what we have,  this daily reminder is a great exercise in teaching us compassion and gratitude.  We understand it is hard to remain positive *all the time*. We are allowed to be sad, fearful and anxious, we just must learn to not let these emotions consume us.  If you are having difficulties during this time we are always here for you…..

TIME to TALK
(from latest newsletter)

There are many aspects of our lives now that we are adjusting to; some are easy but most are difficult!  Some aspects of our daily lives will never be the same again.  Having someone to talk with about these changes and share how we are feeling is a great release…. it always helps to talk.

Every Wednesday we will host a lunch time chat with Devon & Karen

LEWISHAM VOLUNTEER SERVICES

Lots of local initiatives have popped up around the country encouraging volunteers to step forward and help in their community. From food banks to picking up prescriptions,  people are making an effort to come together and help out if they can. Our nearest foodbank to the centre is at the Hope Centre: 118 Malham Rd, SE23 1AN  Their website will tell you what foods they need and when they are open as some times are subject to change

Lewisham Local is an organisation that supports volunteers, they have a great page full of ways to help, its a useful round up of where you can volunteer, have a look below:

BUY A TREATMENT FOR AN NHS WORKER

Every day we hear stories from the frontline NHS workers.  Every day they continue to be shocking and upsetting.  Without fail, our army of NHS workers show up every day caring for people battling the virus.  When we come out the other side of this pandemic it will be our frontline workers who will bear the battle scars of being overworked, over stressed and overwhelmed.  We, as a therapy centre would like to be there for the NHS when all this is over.  Please consider donating any amount to funding massage and other therapy treatments to an NHS worker.  Payments can be made through our sister community company called T4H (Therapy 4 Healing), follow the link below to donate.
